CALI to launch new look for Lessons, including mobile versions

The redesigned lesson interface will be easier to view on any web browser and will now be viewable on all mobile browsers. Law Librarian Recounts Kent State Massacre

The June 2011 issue of the American Association of Law Libraries' Spectrum Magazine includes an article with the understated title, Alan Canfora: A Witness to History. Canfora, now a reference librarian at Akron Law Library, was one of the 13 Kent State University students shot on May 4, 1970, when the Ohio National Guard opened fire on students protesting the mobilization of US troops in southeast Asia. His story is worth reading. The title to this blog entry links to the Spectrum article.

For those interested in reading further about the Kent State Massacre, the Kent State University Libraries maintains a website on its archives concerning the events surrounding May 4, 1970, http://www.library.kent.edu/page/11247. The site includes an informative FAQs page, a bibliography of books, articles and websites, and an index of the archives.
