On Friday, January 18, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. EST, the ABA Section of Litigation will live stream a program commemorating the 50th anniversary of Gideon v. Wainwright, the landmark case which recognized that indigent criminal defendants have the right to appointed counsel. The program will feature several notable legal scholars and an exonerated death row prisoner. The program is free to all. The audience is encouraged to participate by submitting questions over the web.
